Sprinkler Repair & Tune-Ups

A service-first visit that finds the root cause—not just the symptom. We verify zones, tune coverage, correct leaks and head/nozzle issues, and document what we find so follow-up stays simple.

Built for reliability

Most repeat failures come down to a few drivers: leaks, coverage waste, valve symptoms, wiring faults, and unmanaged pressure. This visit is built to find the driver and fix it cleanly.

Service-First

Root cause first

We treat leaks, coverage waste, and valve symptoms as a system problem—not a random pile of broken parts.

Built For

Repeatability

Documented findings and “watch-list” notes make the next visit faster, cleaner, and more precise.

Discipline

Water + access

Pressure issues and buried access are repeat-failure multipliers. We fix what makes systems predictable.

How service works

  • 1

    Inspect + diagnose

We run-test zones (when safe) and identify the driver: leaks, coverage, valves, wiring, controller drift, or pressure/flow constraints.

  • 2

    Scope the clean fix

We prioritize the highest-ROI path: stop active waste/damage, restore predictable coverage, then recommend upgrades only where they reduce repeat problems.

  • 3

    Repair + verify

We complete approved repairs, then verify performance under load and document what matters for follow-up.

  • 4

    Document next steps

Clear “fix now vs. monitor” guidance so service isn’t a guessing game.

Common tune-up & repair calls

  • Broken or leaking sprinkler heads
  • Dry spots, overspray, and runoff
  • Low pressure, misting, and uneven coverage
  • Valve issues (stuck on/off, weeping, wiring symptoms)
  • Mid-season tune-ups and efficiency adjustments

How we handle repairs

  1. Diagnose the root cause (not just the symptom)
  2. Show options: quick fix vs. long-term improvement
  3. Repair and verify coverage with a run test
  4. Recommend smart scheduling/optimization when it prevents repeats

The "service visit" discipline (what makes this different)

Many companies price irrigation repair as open-ended hourly time. Our Tune-Up & Repair Visit is designed to be predictable and repeatable: we test zone-by-zone, tune coverage, fix what we can cleanly, and document the system so the next visit is faster and more precise. If the system has already been activated and is safe to run, the visit stays more targeted and is priced accordingly.

  • Run test + triage: identify the zones that waste water, fail to cover, or show valve symptoms.
  • Coverage tuning: level heads, set arcs, correct overspray, and match nozzles where appropriate.
  • Clean repairs: address common leaks (risers/swing joints), replace heads/nozzles as needed, and verify under load.
  • Documented notes: what was changed, what is “watch-list”, and what needs a scoped follow-up.

Common root causes (what we look for)

  • Pressure issues: excessive pressure can cause misting, frequent head failures, and valve wear (see: PRV guide).
  • Mixed heads/nozzles: mismatched precipitation rates create dry spots and runoff even when the system "runs fine."
  • Valve problems: debris, worn diaphragms, and weak solenoids lead to stuck zones and weeping (see: Rain Bird DV Series Valve).
  • Master valve (MV) issues: MV wiring/solenoid/valve failures can make multiple zones look "broken" at once (see: Master valves: a serviceable baseline and SRMS™).
  • Hidden leaks: swing joints, cracked risers, and valve-box seepage can waste water quietly until damage shows up.
  • Programming drift: overlapping programs, seasonal settings, or missing rain/ET logic can overwater fast (see: Smart Irrigation).

Repair + parts guidance

We keep repairs service-first and recommend quality replacement options when they prevent repeat calls.

Best time to tune: early summer. A mid-season tune-up catches waste and weak zones before heat stress shows up.

FAQs

Do you do “sprinkler head repair” only?

We can replace heads and nozzles, but most mid-season issues have a root cause (pressure, nozzle mismatch, valve behavior, access). The visit is designed to verify zones and prioritize fixes.

What affects the final price?

Zone count drives most visits. Access (buried valve boxes, hardscape), system condition, and the scope of repairs affect total work. Our process includes arrival setup and documentation so follow-up stays clean. On some first-time visits, your technician may apply a one-time courtesy credit (up to ~15 minutes). If additional labor is needed beyond the tune-up visit scope, we may dispatch one tech or a two-person team depending on the job and season; labor is billed by role.

What do you mean by “post-activation”?

It means the system has already been started up for the season: pressure and basics have been checked, zones can run safely, and programming is in a workable state. That lets a tune-up visit focus on diagnostics, coverage, and the repair path—without redoing full startup steps.

Can you help with valve box access and buried components?

Yes. Lost lids and buried boxes create repeat failures. We can locate components and recommend serviceable enclosure standards.

Do you recommend pressure regulation?

When source pressure is excessive, a PRV path can reduce stress on heads, valves, fittings, and splices so performance stays predictable.
